Jessie Street // Residential Design

We reimagined the outdoor space at Jessie Street with a light, relaxed Santorini inspired aesthetic, creating a pool area that feels like a little escape to the Greek Islands.

While the brief initially focused on transforming the exterior pool area, its direct connection to the living room meant the design needed to work seamlessly between the two spaces. The existing charcoal grey pool area was absorbing much of Queensland’s natural light, leaving the adjoining living space feeling dark and limiting the beautiful light that could filter inside.

Our solution was to completely rethink the material palette. White micro cement was introduced throughout the pool area to reflect the Queensland sun and bounce natural light back into the living room, creating a brighter and more connected interior.

The crisp white finish forms the foundation for the Mediterranean inspired aesthetic, while carefully considered black accents add depth, sophistication and contrast.

The result is a fresh and refined outdoor space that not only transforms the pool area, but actively enhances the living space beyond it, proving that great exterior design can have just as much impact indoors.
